Ryan and his dad sailed from Newport Beach to Esenada. His mom and I drove down and read by the pool while waiting for them. A very fun weekend and a great way to relax after busy season.

Over our Thanksgiving holiday, we went to Napa Valley & Sonoma, Fort Bragg, Mendocino County, the Redwoods (north, south, west and in between), and Humboldt County, CA. The coast was beautiful, we got to visit with good friends, do a lot of hiking, some camping, some fresh seafood-eating, and enjoy a great road trip together.

I went home to Utah for my mom's 50th birthday. Jen, Larry and Kyle surprised her by showing up on Friday. We went to the cabin, got our nails done, did some shopping, and had a birthday party for her on Saturday evening. It wasn't as cold as I was hoping it would be in Utah (I miss the fall weather and snow!) but I had a great time.
